Gerry Bouwman has an honours B.A. degree in Management Accountancy and is a Certified Management Accountant. He is Vice President of Matson, Driscoll & Damico in Canada as well as the Canadian Director of Marketing.

With over 15 years experience in forensic accounting, Gerry has performed audits and provided reports to clients on matters in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and South America.

His professional concentration has been in determining, verifying and analyzing factual matters by the examination of accounting, operating and financial records; and the interpretation and communication of these financial facts along with calculations and recommendations, all in connection with economic damage quantification under insurance coverages and in litigation matters.

Gerry has been involved in all types of engagements including business interruption, extra expense, inventory, course of construction, entertainment, physical damage claims, forensic accounting, transportation, product liability, recall and contamination cases, lost profits, breach of contract, transportation losses and future income losses.

He has also provided arbitration, appraisal, mediation and catastrophic loss service.

In addition to writing articles, Gerry has conducted numerous seminars and workshops for the legal community as well as insurance industry professionals.
