Mark Gain has over 25 years experience in financial advisory services practice and is involved in business and securities valuations, litigation support and investigations, and insurance loss accounting services. His assignments have encompassed a range of industries and involve companies located in Canada, the United States and overseas.

He has conducted over 1,500 investigations involving the quantification of business and property losses, loss of income, expropriations, fraud and employee defalcations, personal injury and wrongful death, patent infringement, breach of contract, product liability and business valuations matters.

In addition, he was part of the team that quantified business losses resulting from the Mississauga train derailment that caused the evacuation of 200,000 people – at the time the largest evacuation in North America.

Mark has provided litigation support in commercial disputes, shareholder and partner disputes and business income loss matters. On numerous occasions, Mark has also provided expert testimony on the quantification of business losses, property losses, loss of income and business valuation matters before the Superior Court of Ontario.

He has also provided expert testimony on the financial viability of an entity's operations in both criminal and civil proceedings.

In addition, he has been appointed by the RCMP and Anti-Rackets Section of the Ontario Provincial Police to oversee in-house forensic accounting services.
