Carole Harkema has nearly ten years experience in assurance and accounting and her professional concentration has been in determining, verifying and analyzing factual matters by the examination of accounting, operating and financial records and the interpretation and communication of these financial facts along with calculations and recommendations, all in connection with claims under insurance coverages and other value work.

Carole has participated in a broad range of engagements including business interruption, extra expenses, stock and contents, physical damage, personal injury, fidelity and third party liability.

In addition, Carole has assisted in the development, documentation and maintenance of quality assurance standards, as well as managed engagements including quality and budget considerations.

Carole designed and presented a series of lessons to young CA professionals dealing with the fundamentals of assurance, accounting, tax, performance measurement and information technology which resulted in her receiving a Quality Assurance Award.

In addition, Carole has prepared and conducted numerous seminars on business interruption and personal injury to insurance companies, lawyers and other insurance professionals.

Carole has published several articles on teamwork and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia as well as the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
