Chris Ehlers, CPA has become the latest Matson, Driscoll & Damico employee to participate in the London-based secondment program with Lloyd’s of London.

“Not only have previous participants learned a great deal through their exposure to the Lloyd’s market, but Lloyd’s has also benefited from these individuals’ diverse and far-reaching expertise,” said Flemming Jensen, CPA and Managing Partner of MD&D’s London office.

Chris will work with Lloyd’s on a wide variety of assignments, including the review and analysis of several high-profile claims.  He will also conduct workshops and industry related seminars.

Chris joined MD&D’s Houston, Texas office in 2004.  His expertise is in business interruption, physical damages and litigation support.  His experience covers the petrochemical (both onshore and offshore), manufacturing and power generation industries, as well as retail & wholesale establishments, apartment complexes and newspapers/publications facilities.  He will assume the secondment role from Martin Martinovic, CPA.

During his tenure at Lloyd’s, Martin focused on several financial analyses related to hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  He also conducted a business interruption workshop and industry seminars on property and energy.  Since his secondment ended, Martin has returned to MD&D; however, he has maintained his relationship with representatives at Lloyd’s and continues to provide seminars and workshops.

Prior to participating in the program, Martin was based in the firm’s Toronto office, where he provided expert reports for litigation assignments in both Canada and the United States and advised on various ADR matters.  He also served in the firm’s New York CAT office following the 9/11 terrorist attack.
