Giles joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ London office in 2012. He is a Manager at the firm.
Giles specialises in economic damage calculation matters such as business interruption, contingency claims including event cancellation, extra expenses/increased costs, and stock & content losses. He has accrued industry experience across various industries such as power generation, oil & gas, mining, construction, manufacturing, retail, and hospitality. The value of these claims has ranged from £1,000 to losses in excess of £150 million.
Giles has significant catastrophe services experience, having worked on high-profile cases such as the Thai floods in 2011 and losses arising from COVID-19.
Giles has also gained experience working on a range of litigation and expert witness matters.
As part of his degree, he undertook a 15-month audit placement with one of the Big Four accounting firms, where he gained accounting and audit experience in a wide range of industries across the south-west of England.
Giles graduated from Lancaster University with a Bsc (Hons) degree in Accounting, Auditing, and Finance.
