Bhurima joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Singapore office in 2012 as a Senior Accountant. She is now Director of the firm’s Bangkok office.
Bhurima’s forensic accounting expertise spans a wide range of practice areas including business interruption, stock & contents, fraud, concealment & misrepresentation, fidelity claims, business valuations and extra expenses/increased costs. She also has experience in the catastrophe services area, providing economic damage assessments during natural disasters such as the 2011 Thailand Floods.
Bhurima has worked on forensic accounting assignments in the following industries: aluminium trading, automotive, chemical and petrochemical, computer manufacturing, food manufacturing and trade, warehousing, pulp and paper, real estate development, agriculture, power generation, financial services and timber processing.
Fluent in Thai and English with a good knowledge of spoken and written Mandarin, Bhurima has presented seminars and workshops on business interruption. She has served as Honorary Treasurer for the Insurance Law Association Singapore (ILAS).
Bhurima received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Thammasat University in Bangkok. She also spent one year as an exchange student at Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkley.
