Carlos Cabello Arjona is a Director in MDD Forensic Accountants’ Madrid office, based and domiciled in Barcelona. He specializes in economic, financial, accounting and industry-specific expert services, with experience in litigation support, arbitration, fraud investigations and complex commercial disputes.

Carlos has over 20 years of professional experience in audit, financial consulting and economic consulting. He has worked in forensic departments since 2008 and has acted as an independent expert in negotiations, pre-litigation and pre-arbitration matters, as well as in criminal, civil and arbitration proceedings.

Throughout his career, Carlos has assisted parties and courts with independent expert analysis involving economic and financial investigations, including irregular transactions across various sectors. He has also provided expert testimony in civil proceedings in Spain and arbitration matters in Spain and Colombia and has participated in international arbitration matters in Latin America.

Carlos’ experience includes matters involving lost profits, business disputes and shareholder disputes, commercial disputes, employee dishonesty and fraud, fraud investigations and post-acquisition disputes. He has worked across a range of industries, including healthcare, retail, construction, professional services and financial services.

Prior to joining MDD, Carlos held forensic and audit roles that included the preparation and presentation of independent expert reports, fraud prevention and detection, and reviews related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing compliance.

Carlos earned a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He also holds postgraduate qualifications in Auditing from the Universitat de Barcelona and Compliance from UPF Barcelona School of Management.
