Prior to joining MDD 8 years ago, David held senior management positions in several forensic accounting / claim preparation practices in South Africa, New Zealand and also in Asia. He is widely recognized for his innovation and was involved in establishing one of the country’s first forensic accounting / claim preparation consultancies in New Zealand.

David has been quantifying economic damages in legal or contractual disputes, or recoveries under contracts of insurance for more than 20 years across Africa, Asia, Australasia, and the Pacific islands. His areas of expertise include losses in the agriculture, forestry and timber, food and processing, hospitality, energy, retail, professional services, and telecommunication industries. He has also handled assignments from a plethora of catastrophic events in the geographies he has worked, such as the Thailand floods and various earthquakes and weather events.

David has utilized his background in dispute resolution to serve as an expert witness or advisor on quantum in both arbitrations and mediations and has authored a number of articles and technical briefings on subjects related to economic loss.
