Yiyan Lin

Yiyan joined MDD’s Singapore office in 2014. He is now a Manager and works out of the firm’s London office.

Since joining MDD, Yiyan has worked across a variety of practice areas including advance loss of profits/delay in start-up, business interruption, contingent BI and extra expenses, stock and contents, cyber, personal injury & wrongful death cases. His recent assignments have involved the energy, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation and retail sectors.

He graduated from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) with a degree in Accountancy and Business and is fluent in Mandarin.

Wina Marita

Wina began her career with Matson Driscoll & Damico in 2014 and is now a Manager in the firm’s Singapore office.

Since joining MDD, Wina has been involved mainly in the economic damage quantification of business interruption and stock losses.  She has also worked on litigation support and business valuation cases.  Wina has been involved in assignments across the region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Her industry experience includes agricultural, automotive, banking and financial services, distribution and warehouse, hotels and resorts, manufacturing, mining, petrochemical and oil refineries and technology.  Wina is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and speaks conversational Mandarin.

Wina graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance (Honours). She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Singapore Insurance Institute.

Rajen Rajput

Rajen joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ London office in 2015.  In 2021 he was appointed Manager and in 2024 he was promoted to Senior Manager.

Rajen has significant experience in quantifying damages related to business interruption, cyber-attacks, fraud & investigations, fidelity, lost profits and product liability & recall.

He has experience in a wide range of industries, including aviation, hospitality & tourism, professional service, manufacturing, and retail.

Rajen has worked on assignments in loss locations across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Central America.  The value of these assignments has ranged from ten thousand pounds to losses in excess of £100 million.

Prior to MDD, Rajen worked as a business interruption specialist at a Loss Assessing (Claims Prep) firm covering losses across the UK. This role, together with the experience gained from working at MDD, has helped him further appreciate the specific needs of both the insured and the insurer.

He has presented several seminars on the topics of cyber risks and business interruption.

Rajen graduated from City University London with a degree in Air Transport Engineering.

Handong Lee

Handong began his career with Matson Driscoll & Damico in 2012 and he currently manages the MDD office in Seoul.

He has vast experience in handling large and complex losses in Korea and China relating to insurance claims and commercial disputes with values in excess of USD 200 million. His forensic accounting practice focuses on business interruption, lost profits, extra expenses, liability losses, stock losses and fraud investigation. He has gained experience on catastrophes arising from the Great Tohoku Earthquake of Japan, the Thailand Flood and Typhoon Hato.

Handong has assisted in damage quantification in international arbitration caused by delays, contract disputes and post M&A disputes. His assignments include examining indirect cost allocation models and activity logs and verifying the financial information complies with the accounting standards. In addition, he has worked on divorce matters in relation to valuation of marital assets and liabilities and has conducted fund tracing exercises to identify the nature of transactions.

He has strong expertise across a multitude of industries, including retail and automotive, electronics, oil & gas, chemical, apparel, shipbuilding, hotel & casino and financial institutions.

Handong has presented numerous seminars and workshops on loss of profit and financial condition analysis to insurance and legal professionals in both Seoul and Hong Kong.

He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting. Handong is also a qualified accountant in UK and Australia. He is a native Korean speaker.

Chris Wigley

Chris joined MDD’s London office in 2008. He qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 2011 and is now a Senior Manager at the firm.

Chris has extensive experience in matters related to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, lost profits, stock & contents, physical damages, fraud and political risk. He has been engaged on assignments throughout Europe as well as claims originating in other areas of the world, with losses varying from a few hundred thousand pounds to those in excess of £100 million.

He has worked on numerous assignments in the catastrophe services area.  High profile cases include those relating to Hurricanes Ike and Gustav, the earthquake in Chile in 2010 and also claims arising from the Thai floods in 2011.

Chris also has litigation support experience and has assisted with writing expert reports for the courts.

He has handled numerous claims in the energy industry involving power generation, oil & gas and onshore & offshore energy. He also has retail, wholesale, manufacturing and telecommunications experience.

Fluent in Swedish, Chris graduated from Oxford Brookes University Business School with a BA Honours degree in Business Administration and Management with Accounting and Finance.

Katharina Wilson

Katharina joined MDD’s London office in 2009 and is now a Senior Manager at the firm.

Kat specialises in the quantification of damages relating to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, fraud, litigation, stock & contents and subrogation.

She has worked across a wide range of industries including power generation and distribution, transportation, chemical manufacturing and telecommunications. Kat gained valuable experience in the area of catastrophe services when she spent over a year in Thailand handling flood related claims with values of up to $200 million.

Kat has experience preparing expert witness reports and has presented on matters relating to power generation and business interruption principles.

Kat is fluent in German and Polish and is also proficient in French. She has a German Diploma in International Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Hof in Germany.

Eleanor Smith

Ellie joined MDD’s London office in 2010 as an Intern. She qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 2014 and is now a Senior Manager at the firm.

During her time at MDD, Ellie has developed advanced economic damage quantification skills which can be applied to a wide variety of cases. She has worked extensively on matters involving business interruption, extra expenses / increased costs, physical damages, litigation support, product liability & recall, fraud, fidelity and lost profits.

Her assignments to date have provided her with experience across a wide range of industries in the UK and globally. These industries include manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemicals, power generation, retail, hospitality & tourism and utilities.

Ellie strives to understand and fulfil the needs of her clients and communicate her work product in a concise and easily consumable format. She regularly presents to clients on matters relating to loss of profit calculation principles among other industry relevant topics.

Ellie played a key role in a claims team short listed for The Major Loss Award at The British Insurance Awards.

Ellie graduated from The University of Sheffield with a BSc (Hons) in Economics.

Jessica Feola

Jessica began her career with MDD Forensic Accountants’ Miami office in 2001. In 2012, she became part of the firm’s Latin American Operations and is now a Senior Manager at the firm.

Fluent in Spanish, Jessica’s practice focuses on quantifying economic damages related to litigation and insurance matters, including business interruption, lost profits, extra expenses/increased costs and others. Additionally, she has significant catastrophe services experience having worked on assignments ensuing from hurricane Odile in 2014.

She has worked on engagements ranging from $500,000 to $200 million with insurance carriers across a wide range of industries including power generation and distribution, retail and wholesale, agriculture, mining and refining, hotels and resorts, entertainment, manufacturing, gas transmission and chemical manufacturing.

Jessica graduated cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Rachel Cai

Rachel joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2008. She has worked for the firm in Singapore and Tokyo and is currently a Senior Manager at its Hong Kong office.

Rachel’s practice focuses on the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, fidelity claims, liability losses and stock losses. She has also been actively involved in catastrophes, especially the 2011 Thailand Floods, providing economic damage assessments.

Rachel’s professional experience spans a wide range of industries including automotive manufacturing, food and beverage, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor, steel, hotels and resorts, power generation, credit cards, insurance, and wholesale and retail industries.

Fluent in Mandarin, Rachel has presented seminars and workshops to industry professionals to help them understand the methodology to calculate business interruption and the problems associated when setting the sum insured. She has also assisted in the preparation of expert witness reports.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore, majoring in Economics. Rachel is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA).

Bhurima Tienwuttinun

Bhurima joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Singapore office at the end of 2011 and relocated to Thailand to set up and manage the firm’s Bangkok office in 2016.

Her forensic accounting expertise spans a wide range of practice areas, including business interruption, advance loss of profits/delay in start-up, commercial disputes, construction defect/delay, employment litigation, fraud and investigations, and stock & contents losses. She also has experience in the catastrophe services area, providing economic damage assessments during natural disasters such as the 2011 Thailand Floods.

She has worked across many industries, such as manufacturing, power plants, chemical processing, refineries and hotels.  Bhurima has testified as an expert witness in various courts in Thailand such as the civil, labour and provincial courts.

Bhurima is well-known and respected in the Thai insurance market and leads our MDD Academy in Thailand, giving numerous presentations to insurers, brokers, the Thai General Insurance Association, and law firms. She is an associate member of CIArb, a member of ArbitralWomen, and has served as Honorary Treasurer for the Insurance Law Association Singapore (ILAS).

Bhurima received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree (BBA), majoring in Finance from Thammasat University, Thailand.  She also spent one year as an exchange student at Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.  She is fluent in Thai and English and has basic knowledge of spoken Mandarin.

Nattakarn Prasitsumrit

Nattakarn joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Singapore office in 2013 as a Senior Accountant. She is now a Senior Manager at the firm’s Singapore office.

Fluent in Thai, English, Mandarin and Japanese, Nattakarn has worked on various economic damage quantification cases across Asia, Africa and Europe. Her expertise includes advanced loss of profits/delay in start-up, business interruptionbusiness valuation, catastrophe services, contingent BI & extra expenses, and stock & contents.  In addition, she has provided litigation accounting services to MDD clients and has been active in catastrophe services, quantifying damages that occurred as a result of the 2011 Thailand Floods.

Nattakarn has been engaged on numerous assignments in the automotivemanufacturinghotels and resorts and telecommunications sectors. She has extensive experience in the Energy sector which includes oil & gaspower generation and distribution and mining & refining.

She has presented seminars and training sessions to industry professionals on various topics including business interruption, power generation losses and refinery & petrochemical losses.

Nattakarn received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting (First Class Honors) from the Chulalongkorn Business School in Thailand. She also spent one semester at Japan’s Akita International University in the Global Business Faculty. Nattakarn is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).

David J. Stryjewski

David is a CPA licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has been a forensic accountant for more than 15 years.

He specializes in areas such as surety and fidelity claimsfunds control administration, construction defects & claims and miscellaneous bond claims. He has also handled many aspects of bond loss matters including the initial financial evaluation of Principals, assisting in the settlement of loss reserves, ongoing management of losses, maintaining escrow accounts and recovery actions.

In addition to domestic claims, David has been involved with surety claims arising in Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

David has provided expert witness testimony at the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland.

He has written numerous articles on surety issues and has presented on surety topics to organizations such as the American Bar Association, National Bond Claims Association and the Eastern Bond Claims Review.

David serves as Secretary for the National Bond Claims Association. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Bar Association, and Philadelphia Surety Claims Association.

He is a graduate of Lehigh University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Lee Swain

Lee joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ London office in 1998. He is a Partner at the firm.

Lee has worked on numerous international assignments across a wide range of industries including oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, mining, steel and aluminium.  He also has considerable experience working on projects that involve Britain’s national railway.

An economic damage quantification expert, his professional practice concentrates on business interruption, lost profits, property damage, subrogation and transportation matters. He also has significant experience in the area of catastrophe services, earned while working on engagements resulting from hurricanes Ike, Katrina, Gustav and Rita as well as the 2010 Chilean earthquake.

Lee has worked on claims of all sizes, from a few hundred thousand pounds to losses in excess of £500 million.

He has provided litigation support services to many of his clients.

Lee has presented numerous seminars on forensic accounting subjects that are related to the power generation, oil and petrochemical industries and he is a member of the LBIA and OPERA associations

Lee graduated from the University of Liverpool with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Financial Economics.

Mark Mangan

Mark joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ London, England office in 2000. He is a Partner at the firm.

An expert in economic damage quantification, Mark focuses his practice on matters related to business interruption, lost profits, product liability & recall, fidelity claims and specialty risks such as event cancellations. Additionally, he has extensive experience in the catastrophe services area both in the UK and overseas. This includes assignments resulting from the 2007 UK floods, 2010 Chilean earthquake, 2011 Japanese earthquake, 2011 Thailand floods and 2015 Tianjin explosion. 

He has been engaged on assignments involving service, retail, wholesale and manufacturing businesses across a wide range of industries including hospitality, entertainment, consumer apparel and household goods, automotive, printing, telecommunications, petrochemicals, and aerospace.

Mark has worked on claims in the UK, Israel, Russia, South America, Africa, the Caribbean and throughout Europe. These claims have ranged in value from a few hundred thousand pounds to those in excess of £100 million.

He has been involved in various litigation services assignments concerning contractual disputes and product liability. In addition, he has provided written expert reports for the Courts on numerous occasions.

Mark has conducted seminars and presentations throughout the UK on a wide variety of forensic accounting topics.

He graduated from University of Huddersfield with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Accounting.

George Kramer

George began his career with MDD Forensic Accountants’ Miami office in 2002 and is now a Partner at this location. He forms part of the firm’s Latin American Operations and works on assignments in Central and South America as well as the Caribbean.

George specializes in the economic damage quantification of business interruption, fraud, extra expenses, surety & funds control, fidelity claims, and stock & contents claims. Additionally, he has significant catastrophe services experience having worked on assignments ensuing from hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne, Katrina, Wilma, Odile, Harvey, Irma and Maria.  He was also actively engaged during the Chilean earthquake of 2010. He is fluent in Spanish with a basic knowledge of Portuguese.

George has provided litigation support on numerous occasions, including testimony at depositions and federal court trial.

George graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also received his Master of Accounting degree from Florida State University.

Paul Isaac

Paul is a Partner with MDD Forensic Accountants in London, England.  He joined the London office in 1999, moving to Asia in 2004 to establish the firm’s Singapore office before returning to MDD London three years later.

Paul has extensive experience in litigation support services, providing witness testimony at the High Court and at international arbitration.  He is a member of the Academy of Experts (MAE) and Expert Witness Institute (MEWI) and has prepared numerous expert reports on a wide range of insurance-related matters and commercial disputes ranging from a few hundred thousand pounds to those in excess of £150 million.

Paul’s forensic accounting practice focuses on lost profits, increased costs of working and stock & contents matters, and he has also dealt with product recall/liability, and business valuation matters.  He heads up the UK Cyber practise area and has dealt with a wide range of industries including automotive, chemicals, biofuels, publishing, hotels, retail, manufacturing, professional services, recycling, waste to energy, luxury goods, pulp and paper, glass manufacture and metals.

Paul is MDD’s Global Catastrophe Coordinator, responsible for delivering MDD’s service delivery to our clients in CAT situations around the world.  He has significant hands-on experience in the catastrophe service areas, handling claims arising from local flooding/wildfire catastrophes to high-profile events including the 2004 Tsunami, 2007 UK floods, 2011 Thai floods, Tohoku Earthquake/Tsunami, 2015 Tianjin explosion, Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria in 2017, Hurricane Dorian in 2019, COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Ida in 2021.

Paul has conducted seminars and training sessions in a number of countries on various technical forensic accounting topics.  Paul is a former President of the London Business Interruption Association, responsible for educating the UK market in all things BI.  He is also a French speaker and oversees the firm’s office and growing forensic accounting practice in France.

He graduated from Kingston University in England with a Masters degree in Accounting and Finance and Aston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Modern Languages (French).

Andreea Ilie

Andreea began her career with MDD’s London office over 20 years ago. She moved to Singapore in 2007 to help the continued growth of MDD’s first Asia-Pacific location and is now a Partner at the firm.

Fluent in French and Romanian, Andreea assists her clients by quantifying damages related to business interruption, contingent business interruption, extra expenses, lost profits, stock losses, fidelity claims, fraud investigation, and many other practice areas.

She has a particular interest in the energy sector and extensive experience in quantifying economic damages for power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, palm oil refinery, pulp & paper, various manufacturing sectors, retail & wholesale, transportation, hospitality and many other industries. Most notably, Andreea is known for her in-depth knowledge of the claims process in Southeast Asia.

Additionally, she has significant catastrophe services experience gained while evaluating the impact of Hurricane Ivan, the Christchurch earthquakes and the Thailand floods

Andreea has provided litigation support services and has acted as an expert witness and testified in court.

She has presented seminars and training sessions on a variety of topics including business interruption measurement to claims managers, underwriters, loss adjusters and lawyers across Asia and the UK.

Andreea has a Master of Business Administration degree and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Jeff Williams

Jeff joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Orlando office in 1993. In 2005, he moved to the firm’s Miami / Fort Lauderdale office where he is now a Partner.

An expert in economic damage quantification analysis, Jeff’s professional practice focuses on lost profits, business disputes, builders’ risk & soft costs, business interruption, physical damages, stock & contents matters, personal injury & wrongful death

Jeff has worked on assignments across a wide range of industries.

He has provided expert witness testimony in both state and Federal courts on matters related to lost profits and contractual disputes.  Jeff has also served as an accounting expert in arbitration, mediation and appraisal.

Jeff has presented numerous seminars that have earned participants state approved continuing education credits.

He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Phillip Taylor

Phillip joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ London, England office in 1994. Three years later, he left to work for the London Stock Exchange and subsequently the Financial Services Authority, investigating potential breaches of the Listing Rules. He rejoined MDD in 2001 and relocated in 2003 to open and manage the firm’s Singapore office.

Throughout his career at MDD, Phillip has specialized in the areas of lost profits, material damage, fidelity claims, fraud, product liability and recall damages caused by arson and crisis management.

Phillip has vast experience in catastrophe services. He worked on claims following Typhoon Maemi, the Asian tsunami, the Queensland flooding, the Christchurch earthquakes, The Great Tohoku Japan Earthquake and the 2011 Thailand flooding.

Fluent in both English and French, with a basic understanding of Spanish and Italian, Phillip has been appointed to assignments across Europe and North America as well as over twenty countries in the Asia Pacific region.

His industry experience includes oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, mining, manufacturing across numerous sectors, transportation, publishing, financial services, retail & wholesale, hospitality and leisure & entertainment.

Phillip has been engaged on numerous occasions to provide expert witness reports for arbitrations and courts around the world and has participated in several mediations.

He has conducted seminars and training sessions on a variety of topics including business interruption measurement, crisis management, product contamination and business interruption valuation to claims managers, underwriters, loss adjusters and lawyers.

Phillip has a joint degree (French and English) in European Business Administration from Centre d’Etudes Supérieures Européennes de Management (Reims) and Middlesex University (London).  He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. 

Markus Heiss

Markus joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 1993. He has been a Partner at the firm’s London, England office since 2002.

Markus has provided economic damage quantification assessments for over 1,000 files in more than 30 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Far East, Africa, Australasia and North and South America. His professional practice specializes in matters related to business interruption, lost profits, loss of income, stock and property damage losses, construction defects & claims, fidelity and fraud, often as a result of physical damages, machinery breakdown, natural disasters or contractual and legal disputes. 

He has been engaged on assignments involving retail, wholesale and manufacturing businesses across a wide range of industries including automotive, consumer goods packaging, telecommunications, mining & refiningpower generation, chemicals, petrochemicals, onshore and offshore energy, publishing, pulp and paper and steel.

Fluent in English, Spanish and German (mother tongue), Markus has provided expert witness testimony both in the UK and Europe.

He has conducted seminars and workshops in the UK, Europe and Dubai.

Markus graduated from Munich University as a ‘Diplom-Kaufmann’ in Business, Accounting, Tax and Law.
