Maui Wildfires – Update 2

Further to our first blog post on the wildfires, Partner Lisa Morris is in Maui and has provided an update in order to assist us in understanding the current nature of the situation.

Transportation Routes

• The Lahaina bypass is currently open (yellow highlight)
• There is no stopping on the bypass which is enforced by local police (who are parked on the side of the road)
• Hwy 30 through Lahaina is closed (red highlight)
• Military personnel have blocked the roads into the heavily damaged areas and they are directing traffic to keep it moving
