Stephanie Ceus

Stephanie joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2023. She is a Manager at the firm’s Houston office.

Stephanie began her career as a forensic accountant in 2012. She specializes in quantifying economic damages for matters related to business interruption, contingent business interruption and extra expenses, employee dishonesty & fraud, fidelity claims, fraud & investigations, and commercial disputes.

She has been engaged across various industries, including oil & gas, hospitality & tourism, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, railroads, and pharmaceuticals.

Stephanie has vast experience in catastrophe services, having worked on assignments resulting from the Tohoku Earthquake (Japan), Thailand Floods, Super Storm Sandy, Hurricane Harvey, COVID-19, Hurricane Zeta, Winter Storm Uri, and 2021 Hurricane Ida.

She is fluent in both English & Spanish.

Stephanie graduated from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Alison Wise

Alison joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2023. She is a Manager at the firm’s Denver office.

Alison began her career in accounting in 2003. She specializes in the quantification of economic damages for matters related to personal injury & wrongful death, lost profits, fraud and investigations, employee dishonesty, divorce & marital disputes, and business disputes & shareholder disputes.

She has been engaged across various industries, including automotive, construction, food services, manufacturing, and professional services.

Alison has been engaged in providing litigation support and has provided expert witness testimony in state court.

She has presented to the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel on “The Cost of Doing Business in a Pandemic”.

Alison graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. She also received her Master’s in Forensics and Fraud Examination from West Virginia University.

Katie (Soer) Edwards

Katie specializes in areas such as surety and fidelity claims, funds control administration, personal injury, litigation services, lost profits, extra expense/increased costs, and divorce and marital disputes.

Her industry experience includes construction, real estate development, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail.

Before joining MDD, Katie was an assistant vice president of accounting for a real estate developer, where she managed a team of accountants and over $2 billion in assets.

She has presented on various topics related to bond and surety claims.

Katie graduated from Benedictine College with a bachelor’s in Accounting, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Finance), a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies, as well as graduating from St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology with a Master of Theological Studies.

Pascal Labrosse

Pascal started as a Senior Accountant at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Montreal office in 2019. He is currently a Manager at the firm.

Pascal has been involved in multiple investigations involving the quantification of economic damages in insurance and litigation matters and has strong forensic accounting experience in the area of personal injury.

Pascal’s practice specializes in the area of business valuation, economic loss quantification and investigative accounting.

Pascal has prepared economic loss quantification reports involving intellectual property infringement, breach of contract, construction delay and physical damages.  Pascal has worked on numerous assignments related to business interruptioncyber risksextra expenses/increased costsfraud & investigationslitigation support, and lost profits.

His industry experience includes agriculture, automotive, food services, financial services,  manufacturing and assembly, commercial rental properties, hotels and resorts, restaurants, retail and wholesale, and professional services. He has also been active in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages that occurred due to Hurricanes lota and Eta.

Pascal has presented various seminars on lost profit, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on businesses, cyber losses and documentation available in the context of litigation.

Pascal is fluent in French and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration and Diploma of Higher Specialized Studies, Accounting, both from HEC Montreal. He holds the professional designations of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV). He is also an Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator and Small Claims Mediator – Income Taxes.

Ariel Camara

Ariel joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2017. He is a Manager in the firm’s São Paulo office.

Ariel has worked on assignments across most of our practice areas concentrating on business interruption, extra expenses/increased cost, lost profits, catastrophe services and fraud and investigations.

He has worked on numerous litigation files in Latin America and has testified in the Brazilian court system.

His industry experience includes agribusiness, power generation, pulp and paper, steel, fuel production, railroad and wholesale.

Ariel is fluent in both English and Portuguese.

He received his Accounting and Business Management Degree in Brasil from Centro Universitario FECAP.

Amanda Schubert

Amanda joined MDD Forensic Accountants Miami / Fort Lauderdale office in 2012. She is a Manager at the firm.

Amanda has worked on assignments across most of our practice areas concentrating on business interruption, builders’ risk and soft costs claims, stock & contents, lost profits, extra expenses/increased costs, and fidelity claims. She is also actively involved in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages resulting from natural disasters, including hurricanes Irma, Dorian, Harvey, Ida, Michael, Laura, and Florence, and the 2021 freeze in Texas.

Her industry experience includes construction, medical & dental practices, food services, multifamily residential, retail, manufacturing, and hospitality & tourism.

Amanda has assisted in providing litigation support to numerous clients. This includes analyzing transcripts, preparing inquiries of witnesses under oath, and preparing economic damages calculations and reports.

She also has experience as an appraiser and has presented seminars on business interruption and extra expenses.

She received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University, a Masters of Science in Social Policy from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters of Accounting from Nova Southeastern University.

Wina Marita

Wina began her career with Matson Driscoll & Damico in 2014 and is now a Manager in the firm’s Singapore office.

Since joining MDD, Wina has been involved mainly in the economic damage quantification of business interruption and stock losses.  She has also worked on litigation support and business valuation cases.  Wina has been involved in assignments across the region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Her industry experience includes agricultural, automotive, banking and financial services, distribution and warehouse, hotels and resorts, manufacturing, mining, petrochemical and oil refineries and technology.  Wina is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and speaks conversational Mandarin.

Wina graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance (Honours). She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Singapore Insurance Institute.

Michele Squeo

Michele joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Parsippany office in 2021. He is a Senior Manager at the firm.

A forensic accountant with strong analytical skills, Michele focuses on the quantification of economic damages for matters related to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, stock & contents, builders’ risk, marine, physical damages and fidelity. He also has assisted in mediations and deposition preparation and has extensive experience in the area of catastrophe services.

Michele has been engaged across a broad range of industries, including hospitality, retail and manufacturing.

He has presented seminars and workshops on business interruption, extra expenses and stock and contacts for various insurers.

Michele received his MBA in Accounting degree from Pace University.

Rachel Janush

Rachel spent the first five years of her career working for MDD Forensic Accountants as a staff accountant in our Atlanta office.  She reunited with MDD in 2021 and is currently a Senior Manager at our Washington D.C. office.

A forensic accountant for over 25 years, Rachel has worked on assignments across most of our practice areas with a concentration on matters related to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, fidelity and stock & contents. She has also assisted in the valuation of assets for privately-owned companies and couples going through a divorce. In addition, she has been actively involved in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages resulting from natural disasters in the United States, Puerto Rico & Jamaica.

Her industry experience has spanned a wide range of sectors, including food services, retail, hospitality & tourism and healthcare.

Rachel has also provided expert testimony in court, and assisted in mediations, arbitrations and deposition preparation.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina.

Jason Roth

Jason joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2021 and is Manager in the firm’s Atlanta office.

His expertise focuses on matters related to business valuations, business disputes & shareholder disputes, business interruption, divorce & marital disputes, lost profits and personal injury & wrongful death.

He has also worked across a range of sectors including construction, financial services, hospitality & tourism, maritime and healthcare.

Jason graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Finance & Jewish Studies as well as a Masters in Accounting.

Richard Tam

Richard is a Senior Manager/Vice President at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Kingston office.

He has over four years of experience in forensic accounting and three years as an Auditor with his previous employer. His practice concentrates primarily on business interruption, accident benefits, extra expenses/increased costs, fidelity, downtime losses, lost profits, personal injury and wrongful death matters.

Richard has worked on numerous assignments throughout Canada during his time with MDD. He has experience that spans a wide range of industries including retail and wholesale, agriculture, hotel and hospitality, residential and commercial rental properties and restaurants.

Richard received his First Class Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business.

Sareneh Zadori

Sareneh has over 9 years of forensic & investigative accounting experience pertaining to loss & damage calculations. She is a manager in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Sareneh’s expertise includes the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, business/shareholder disputes, lost profits, extra expenses/soft costs, stock & content losses, fraud & investigations, litigation support and anti-bribery services. In addition, she has been active in the area of catastrophe services.

She has significant experience in industries such as hospitality and tourism, entertainment, retail and manufacturing.

Sareneh is fluent in Armenian. She graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.

Amanda Guire

Amanda joined MDD’s Philadelphia office as a Staff Accountant in 2008. She is now a Senior Manager at this location and is also the US Business Development Director.

Amanda’s professional practice focuses on matters related to business interruption, builders’ risks & soft costs, extra expenses/increased cost of working, fraud & investigations, physical damages, personal injury and stock & contents.

Amanda also has considerable catastrophe services experience gained from working on losses resulting from the 2008 floods in Iowa, Tropical Storm Lee, Superstorm Sandy and Hurricanes Ike, Irene and Matthew.

Her industry experience includes commercial rental properties, food manufacturing, hospital & healthcare facilities, hotels & resorts, manufacturing, power generation and distribution, retail and wholesale.

Amanda has conducted seminars on accounting for commercial property losses for business interruption and personal injury analysis.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in fraud examination at the Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.

Jerome McDonagh

Jerome has over 10 years of experience in Forensic Accounting.  He joined MDD in 2015 and is Director of their Litigation Support Services in Hong Kong.

He focuses on matters related to business valuationbusiness disputesloss of profits and fraud & investigations. He has extensive experience in litigation support and has acted as an expert witness in Hong Kong and UK court proceedings.

In business valuations, Jerome has advised clients and acted as an expert witness in a variety of assignments including shareholder disputes, divorce proceedings, and valuations of start-ups and mature businesses.  The assignments relate to parties from various jurisdictions including Hong Kong, Singapore, PRC, Korea, Cayman Islands and United Kingdom.

Jerome has been involved in numerous damage quantification matters including loss of profits, post-M&A breaches of warranties and aborted contract claims.

Jerome’s loss of profit experience extends to catastrophe services experience from his involvement in assignments related to the Tianjin explosions in 2015 and Typhoon Hato in 2017.

His expertise spans a wide range of industries including financial servicesmanufacturing, textiles & apparel, IT, property, shipping & freight, telecommunications, casino and gaming.

Jerome is the creator of the MDD Duxbury Calculator, an online, subscription-based calculator designed to enable Duxbury calculations to be completed quickly and cost-effectively.  The Duxbury Calculator can be accessed here.

He has presented various seminars and workshops on business valuation, financial statement fraud, losses from aborted contracts and Duxbury calculations.

Fluent in Cantonese and conversant in Mandarin, Jerome graduated from Manchester University (UK) with a Bachelor of Economic Science degree and the University of London (UK) with a Master of Science degree in Professional Accountancy.  He holds various professional qualifications and affiliations including:

Jessica Feola

Jessica began her career with MDD Forensic Accountants’ Miami office in 2001. In 2012, she became part of the firm’s Latin American Operations and is now a Senior Manager at the firm.

Fluent in Spanish, Jessica’s practice focuses on quantifying economic damages related to litigation and insurance matters, including business interruption, lost profits, extra expenses/increased costs and others. Additionally, she has significant catastrophe services experience having worked on assignments ensuing from hurricane Odile in 2014.

She has worked on engagements ranging from $500,000 to $200 million with insurance carriers across a wide range of industries including power generation and distribution, retail and wholesale, agriculture, mining and refining, hotels and resorts, entertainment, manufacturing, gas transmission and chemical manufacturing.

Jessica graduated cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Conor Paxton

Conor joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2013. He is a Senior Manager/Vice President at the firm’s Kingston office.

Conor has been involved in several investigations involving the quantification of economic damages in insurance and litigation matters. These assignments have been related to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, expropriation, fidelity, surety, downtime losses, lost profits, stock & contents, accident benefits, business valuations and personal injury & wrongful death matters.

He has vast experience in the retail and wholesale, agricultural, manufacturing, restaurants, power generation, residential and commercial rental properties, hotel and hospitality, professional practices and healthcare sectors.

Conor has presented numerous seminars and workshops to insurance and legal professionals on topics such as business interruption, accident benefits, fraud investigations, basics of financial statements and pecuniary claims/damage analysis.

He received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Economics and Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Mark Woodbury

A forensic accountant since 1999, Mark joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2016. He is a Senior Manager at the firm’s Miami / Fort Lauderdale office.

Mark’s forensic accounting practice focuses on the areas of surety bond claims, employee dishonesty claims, bankruptcy matters and litigation support. He is skilled and experienced in working either alone or in teams of experts to assist clients in achieving their goals.

Mark has previously been associated with a wide range of industries including residential home building, food service, oil exploration, construction, consulting and financial services.

He has served as an expert witness in the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania on behalf of a surety in a civil court action. He has also participated in numerous settlement discussions and depositions.

Mark has presented at various insurance industry conferences throughout the U.S. on fidelity and surety related topics.

He is a graduate of Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Adam Frank

Adam joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2005. He is a Senior Manager at the firm’s Orlando, Florida office.

A forensic accountant with strong analytical skills, Adam focuses on the quantification of economic damages for matters related to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, fidelity claims, fraud and investigations, lost profits, stock & contents, physical damages and builders’ risk & soft costs. He also provides litigation accounting services to clients and has vast experience in the area of catastrophe services, having worked on assignments resulting from the Chile, Haiti and New Zealand earthquakes, hurricanes Jeanne, Katrina, Wilma, Charley and Frances and the Thailand floods.

Adam has been engaged across a wide range of industries including agriculture, aquaculture, automotive, aviation, banking, call centers, casinos, commercial construction, food processing and distribution, furniture, golf courses, government entities, hospitals and medical facilities, hotels and resorts, pharmaceuticals, printing, professional services, telecommunications, retail and wholesale, restaurant and utilities.

Adam has presented seminars and workshops on business interruption, extra expenses and fraud.

He received his Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) degree from the University of Central Florida. He also earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from the same institution.

 

Bhurima Tienwuttinun

Bhurima joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Singapore office at the end of 2011 and relocated to Thailand to set up and manage the firm’s Bangkok office in 2016.

Her forensic accounting expertise spans a wide range of practice areas, including business interruption, advance loss of profits/delay in start-up, commercial disputes, construction defect/delay, employment litigation, fraud and investigations, and stock & contents losses. She also has experience in the catastrophe services area, providing economic damage assessments during natural disasters such as the 2011 Thailand Floods.

She has worked across many industries, such as manufacturing, power plants, chemical processing, refineries and hotels.  Bhurima has testified as an expert witness in various courts in Thailand such as the civil, labour and provincial courts.

Bhurima is well-known and respected in the Thai insurance market and leads our MDD Academy in Thailand, giving numerous presentations to insurers, brokers, the Thai General Insurance Association, and law firms. She is an associate member of CIArb, a member of ArbitralWomen, and has served as Honorary Treasurer for the Insurance Law Association Singapore (ILAS).

Bhurima received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree (BBA), majoring in Finance from Thammasat University, Thailand.  She also spent one year as an exchange student at Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.  She is fluent in Thai and English and has basic knowledge of spoken Mandarin.

Nattakarn Prasitsumrit

Nattakarn joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Singapore office in 2013 as a Senior Accountant. She is now a Senior Manager at the firm’s Singapore office.

Fluent in Thai, English, Mandarin and Japanese, Nattakarn has worked on various economic damage quantification cases across Asia, Africa and Europe. Her expertise includes advanced loss of profits/delay in start-up, business interruptionbusiness valuation, catastrophe services, contingent BI & extra expenses, and stock & contents.  In addition, she has provided litigation accounting services to MDD clients and has been active in catastrophe services, quantifying damages that occurred as a result of the 2011 Thailand Floods.

Nattakarn has been engaged on numerous assignments in the automotivemanufacturinghotels and resorts and telecommunications sectors. She has extensive experience in the Energy sector which includes oil & gaspower generation and distribution and mining & refining.

She has presented seminars and training sessions to industry professionals on various topics including business interruption, power generation losses and refinery & petrochemical losses.

Nattakarn received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting (First Class Honors) from the Chulalongkorn Business School in Thailand. She also spent one semester at Japan’s Akita International University in the Global Business Faculty. Nattakarn is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).

Hayley Naidoo

Hayley joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Singapore office in 2011. She is a Senior Manager at the firm.

Hayley has over 14 years of forensic accounting experience.  In the course of her career, she has quantified economic damages in multi-million dollar commercial disputes and insurance claims, across multiple industries and spanning four continents.

Hayley’s role is primarily based in Asia, where she co-leads MDD’s commercial disputes team and in the insurance arena, spearheads MDD’s work in fidelity and liability claims.  She has prepared numerous expert reports in legal and insurance claims and has also been involved in reconstructing accounting records and mining financial data.

Hayley holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accountancy, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

George Kramer

George began his career with MDD Forensic Accountants’ Miami office in 2002 and is now a Partner at this location. He forms part of the firm’s Latin American Operations and works on assignments in Central and South America as well as the Caribbean.

George specializes in the economic damage quantification of business interruption, fraud, extra expenses, surety & funds control, fidelity claims, and stock & contents claims. Additionally, he has significant catastrophe services experience having worked on assignments ensuing from hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne, Katrina, Wilma, Odile, Harvey, Irma and Maria.  He was also actively engaged during the Chilean earthquake of 2010. He is fluent in Spanish with a basic knowledge of Portuguese.

George has provided litigation support on numerous occasions, including testimony at depositions and federal court trial.

George graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also received his Master of Accounting degree from Florida State University.

Marguerite Hart

Marguerite joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2007. She is a Partner at the firm’s Pittsburgh office.

Marguerite specializes in applying forensic accounting techniques for damage analysis and valuations. An accountant for over 30 years, she focuses on the quantification of damages resulting from business interruption, cyber risks, fidelity claims, fraud and investigations, liability losses and personal injury & wrongful death. In addition, she has been active in the area of catastrophe services.

Marguerite works on complex losses throughout the U.S. as well as internationally. Her experience spans a wide range of industries such as automotive, aviation, bio-fuels, cannabis, hospitality, manufacturing, maritime, medical, oil and gas, power generation, professional services, steel and technology.

She serves as a consultant for litigation matters and has been recognized as an expert in state and federal courts as well as alternative dispute settings. She works extensively with counsel through all phases of the litigation process, from discovery though expert testimony.

Marguerite is a dual national (France and U.S.), fluent in French and English and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

Karl Ehlert

Karl has been with MDD Forensic Accountants’ Los Angeles office for more than 15 years.  He is a Partner at the firm.

He has vast experience quantifying economic damages related to business interruption, physical damages, fidelity claims, construction defects & claims and builders’ risk & soft costs. He has also worked extensively in the catastrophe services area, assessing losses stemming from natural disasters such as the Northridge earthquake and hurricanes Frances, Jeanne, Ivan, Katrina and Sandy. 

Karl has worked on numerous engagements that involve fund tracing and the quantification of lost assets resulting from employee theft, inventory fraud and other incidents.

His industry experience includes agriculture, entertainment, hospitality, gaming, power generation and manufacturing.

Karl has been retained as an expert witness for cases in both state and federal court and has given deposition and court testimony as well as assisted attorneys with discovery requests and trial preparation.

He graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance.

Dennis Corrigan

Dennis interned at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Chicago office while he was in college. He was hired after he graduated in 2005 and is now a Manager at the firm.

Dennis has worked on assignments ranging from under $1,000 to over $200 million. His practice focuses on business interruption, lost profits, construction defects & claims, environmental damages, fidelity claims, fraud & investigationsproduct liability & recall, stock & contents and physical damages matters. 

In addition, he has significant expertise in the catastrophe services area, having quantified losses resulting from major hurricanes around the world as well as earthquakes in Japan and New Zealand and floods in Thailand. 

Dennis has experience with Fortune 500 companies as well as small to midsize corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorships. He has been engaged on projects in the automotive, food processing, packaging, agriculture, manufacturing, hotel and hospitality, retail and wholesale, construction, and healthcare industries. He has also been involved in assignments associated with alternative energy and professional services and financial services.

Dennis has provided litigation support to numerous clients. This includes analyzing transcripts, preparing inquiries of witnesses under oath, preparing expert report drafts and measuring economic damages. 

He received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from Northern Illinois University.

Douglas Coombs

Doug is a Partner at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Parsippany, New Jersey office.

He has worked on numerous engagements involving business interruption, extra expenses, lost profits, fidelity claimsphysical damages and stock & contents. In addition, he has years of experience related to fraud & investigations.

Doug has quantified economic damages for businesses ranging in size from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies and has conducted numerous seminars on forensic accounting topics such as business interruption.

He graduated from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. 

George Uhl

George joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Philadelphia office in 1998. He also worked in MDD Washington DC and Parsippany, New Jersey offices prior to moving to the firm’s Dallas location in 2011. He is a Partner at the firm and is the Managing Partner of the southwest region.

George specializes in business interruption losses, physical damages, employee fraud, extra expenses, construction claims, stock and contents, fidelity losses and third party matters. He also has experience quantifying catastrophe service losses. 

George has been involved in numerous cases across a wide range of industries.

He has served as both a fact and expert witness and has assisted counsel in the preparation and response of interrogatories and requests for documents. In addition, he has prepared expert reports, and provided analysis and testimony in support of his findings and on opposing expert’s findings.

George has co-authored articles on subjects such as occupational fraud that have appeared on websites such as uslaw.org and he has presented seminars to insurance clients on topics such as builders’ risk, business interruption, extra expense and insurable values. 

George received his Masters of Business Administration from Philadelphia University. He also graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Phillip Taylor

Phillip joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ London, England office in 1994. Three years later, he left to work for the London Stock Exchange and subsequently the Financial Services Authority, investigating potential breaches of the Listing Rules. He rejoined MDD in 2001 and relocated in 2003 to open and manage the firm’s Singapore office.

Throughout his career at MDD, Phillip has specialized in the areas of lost profits, material damage, fidelity claims, fraud, product liability and recall damages caused by arson and crisis management.

Phillip has vast experience in catastrophe services. He worked on claims following Typhoon Maemi, the Asian tsunami, the Queensland flooding, the Christchurch earthquakes, The Great Tohoku Japan Earthquake and the 2011 Thailand flooding.

Fluent in both English and French, with a basic understanding of Spanish and Italian, Phillip has been appointed to assignments across Europe and North America as well as over twenty countries in the Asia Pacific region.

His industry experience includes oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, mining, manufacturing across numerous sectors, transportation, publishing, financial services, retail & wholesale, hospitality and leisure & entertainment.

Phillip has been engaged on numerous occasions to provide expert witness reports for arbitrations and courts around the world and has participated in several mediations.

He has conducted seminars and training sessions on a variety of topics including business interruption measurement, crisis management, product contamination and business interruption valuation to claims managers, underwriters, loss adjusters and lawyers.

Phillip has a joint degree (French and English) in European Business Administration from Centre d’Etudes Supérieures Européennes de Management (Reims) and Middlesex University (London).  He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. 

Glenn Ricciardelli

Glenn joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Boston office in 1979. He became a Partner at the firm in 1986.

Glenn has been involved in over 2,000 economic damage quantification, valuation and litigation engagements in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. He has worked on assessments ranging from $5,000 to $750 million. 

Glenn has assisted publicly-held companies and privately-owned businesses of all sizes. His practice areas include business interruption, lost profits, marital disputesstock & contents, builder’s risk & soft costs, products liability & recall, employee dishonesty / fidelity claims, fraud & financial condition, construction, personal injury, wrongful death & wrongful termination and business valuation.

Glenn has provided expert witness testimony in U.S. Federal court as well state courts in Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Wisconsin. He has also been retained as a referee, appraiser or umpire on ADR and arbitration cases.

He has conducted seminars on a wide range of forensic accounting topics for clients.

Glenn is a former Director of the Needham Bank and a member of its finance and audit committees. He is also Treasurer and Director of Birthday Wishes Inc., a non-profit organization that provides birthday parties to homeless children in shelters in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York, as well as Junior Achievement of Northern New England, which provides financial literacy educational programs and job skills to young people.

Glenn graduated with distinction from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Jack Flaherty

Jack joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 1990. He is currently a Partner at the firm’s Hartford office.

Jack has quantified economic damages for claims of all sizes – from those well in excess of $10 million to losses amounting to under $1 million. 

He specializes in a wide range of practice areas including lost profits, construction defects & claims, builders’ risk & soft costs, stock & contents, fraud, concealment & misrepresentation, products liability & recallpersonal injury & wrongful death and marital dissolution.

Jack has served as an expert witness and has provided litigation support services for matters related to business income, inventory value, personal earnings, disputed commissions and legal malpractice.

He has presented seminars on topics such as fraud, business income, extra expense and inventory losses.

Jack is a graduate of Babson College where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.

Brad Ebel

He has conducted or been involved in, over 2,000 assignments across a wide range of industries in Canada and around the world.  These industries include mining and refining, oil and gas, power generation and distribution, construction, steel and aluminum, hotels and resorts, forest products industries and agriculture. He has also quantified economic damages in transportation matters arising from train derailments, aircraft manufacturing losses, marine fire losses and cargo evaluations. 

Brad’s practice areas include fraud and investigations, business interruption, entertainment contingency claims, product liability & recall, personal injury and wrongful death, and fidelity claims.

He has provided litigation support and economic damage quantification in matters involving business income loss, physical damage and property loss, bodily injury economic loss and third party loss quantification and has provided expert testimony on these matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the King’s Bench of New Brunswick. 

Brad has been appointed as an Appraiser under the Insurance Act and provided expert evidence at Appraisal hearings on numerous occasions.

He has been a guest speaker and seminar leader on many occasions on economic loss and damage topics such as business interruption and loss of income.

Brad is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, where he received a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with a Chartered Accountancy option. He joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 1984 and became a Partner with the firm in 1990. 

Neal Cason

Neal joined MDD Forensic Accountants 40 years ago. He is a Partner Emeritus at the firm’s Atlanta office.

Over the course of his career, Neal has assisted both publicly held companies and privately owned businesses of all sizes. He has worked on thousands of assignments that have ranged in value from $5,000 to more than $500 million

Neal’s practice focuses on the quantification of economic damages for matters pertaining to intellectual property, construction defects & claims, lost profits, personal injury & wrongful death, fraud and investigations, wrongful termination, business valuations, business disputes, subrogation, business interruption and physical damages. In addition, he has been engaged in the area of catastrophe services, quantifying losses that occurred as a result of natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy.

Neal has worked extensively throughout the U.S. across a wide range of industries, including transportation, construction, pulp and paper, professional services, retail and wholesale, utilities and high technology.

He has provided expert witness testimony in the area of accounting and damage evaluation in Federal court and the state courts of Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. He has also worked as a Referee or Umpire on arbitration cases.  Additionally, he has provided comprehensive litigation support services, including the analysis of transcripts, witness and expert report preparation and assistance with all aspects of discovery.

Neal has been a guest speaker at the annual PLRB Claims Conference on topics such as commercial claims losses, arson and fraud. He has also presented to business students at the University of Georgia on the subject of fraud control and assists many of his clients with in-house training.

Neal has published on Forensic Accounting’s Role in Corporate Governance.

Active in the community, he has served on the board of Atlanta’s Northside Youth Organization and coaches basketball and baseball.

Neal is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, Magnum Cum Laude.

David Maritz

David joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Auckland, New Zealand office in 2013. He is a Partner at the firm, overseeing the Australasia region.

David has over twenty years of economic damage quantification experience. He helped establish the first specialist forensic accounting/claim preparation consultancy in New Zealand and has held senior management positions at some of the region’s top forensic accounting firms.

David’s professional practice focuses on matters related to business interruption, lost profits, fidelity claims, fraud, and natural disasters. Additionally, he has a wealth of experience in the catastrophe services area. This includes assignments resulting from the Auckland power outage, Fiji floods, Canterbury earthquakes, Queensland Floods, Japanese tsunami and Thailand floods. 

David has managed losses in New Zealand, Australia and throughout Asia.

He has participated as an expert witness on quantum in arbitrations and has serviced as an expert advisor on quantum in numerous mediations.

David graduated from the University of Natal, South Africa with Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies (Dispute Resolution) at Massey University, New Zealand.
