Aletha Bartusiak

Ali joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2026 and is a Manager at the firm’s Denver office. She began her career in forensic accounting in 2018 as a Senior Accounting Manager/Controller at a local law firm where she developed extensive experience in investigations and litigation consulting.

Her practice focuses on the quantification of economic damages in matters involving lost profits, personal injury & wrongful death, fraud and investigations, contingent business interruption & extra expense, and advance loss of profits/delay in start-up.

Ali has worked across a wide range of industries, including agriculture, financial services, hospitality and tourism, professional services, sports, entertainment & the arts, healthcare and manufacturing.

In addition to her technical work, she has substantial litigation support experience, assisting with discovery demands and mediation.

Ali currently serves on the board of the Palmer Lake Restoration Project and is the Treasurer of Cub Scout Pack 217.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Creighton University.

Ellyn Doerr

Ellyn began her career in forensic accounting in 2017 as a staff accountant in MDD’s Philadelphia office. She is currently a manager and domiciled in Buffalo, New York.

She specializes in quantifying economic damages for matters related to business interruption, builders risk & soft costs, contingent bi & extra expense, physical damages, personal injury & wrongful death, stock and content losses, and fraud & investigations.

Ellyn has been engaged across various industries, including food services, healthcare, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing, retail, professional services and power generation.

She has vast experience in catastrophe services, having worked on assignments resulting from COVID-19, the 2021 Texas freeze, 2023 Hawaii wildfires, Tennessee tornadoes and hurricanes Milton, Helene, Ian, Ida, Laura & Isaias.

In addition to her technical work, Ellyn provides significant litigation support, assisting with discovery demands, arbitration, mediation, deposition and trial preparation.

She has also presented frequently on topics related to business interruption and extra expense.

Ellyn holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Accounting Information Systems and a Master of Science in Forensic Accounting from Canisius University.

Dawn Riddle

Dawn joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2026.  She is the firm’s Director of Business Development for the West Coast region of the US, focusing on litigation, construction and liability. She is based out of our Los Angeles office although domiciled in the Greater Phoenix, AZ area.

She has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and legal industries, including 24 years in Business Development and Management roles. Her early career in claims handling provided a strong foundation for building relationships and understanding the needs of clients in both the insurance and legal communities. Dawn is known for her commitment to client service, acting as a trusted advisor and responding with urgency and care.

Before joining MDD, Dawn spent nearly two decades with Rimkus, supporting clients with forensic engineering services ranging from investigative work to full litigation support. Her extensive background in forensics gives her a deep understanding of the expert needs of her clients and the importance of matching the right specialist to each assignment.

On her free time, she serves as a dedicated board member of Mother’s Grace, helping guide its mission to support women and families in crisis. Dawn also lends her leadership to the board of Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, an organization that supports families as their children undergo cancer treatment, providing steady care and practical help during an incredibly difficult time.

Dawn earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Louisiana State University.

Jack Lin

Jack Lin joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2024 and is a Manager in the firm’s Toronto office. His practice focuses on economic damage quantification, business valuation, and litigation support services.

He has supported clients and legal counsel across a wide range of dispute-related matters, including business valuations, business interruption claims, expropriation matters, shareholder disputes, and family law engagements involving income determination for support purposes. Jack has also completed financial due diligence reviews for participants in loan and grant programs administered by a government ministry responsible for economic development and business support programs.

Jack’s experience spans multiple industries, including manufacturing, real estate, software and technology, retail, hospitality, and trade services.

He holds both a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Waterloo and holds both Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designations.

Brandon Doellingen

Brandon joined MDD Forensic Accountants New York office in 2025. He is a Manager/Technical Advisor in the firm’s global cyber practice. His background spans public accounting and audit, along with specialized expertise in cyber and technology advisory, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and incident response.

In addition to his technical background, Brandon has a strong foundation in management and consulting, enabling him to provide both strategic guidance and hands‑on support in complex cyber investigations. His diverse skill set allows him to bridge the gap between financial forensics and cybersecurity, delivering practical solutions to clients facing evolving digital threats.

Brandon is a U.S. Navy veteran. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. He is also a certified instructor in multiple disciplines.

Andrew Albero

Andrew joined MDD Forensic Accountants Philadelphia/Cherry Hill office as a Manager in 2025. Prior to joining MDD, he was a forensic accounting manager at a global accounting and advisory firm where he specialized in monitorships, investigations, and litigation engagements.

Andrew’s expertise includes the quantification of economic damages related to fraud and investigations, post-acquisition disputes, anti-bribery/anti-corruption compliance assessments, FCPA/UK Bribery Act engagements, and more. As part of our Surety Practice group, Andrew will focus on engagements related to surety bond matters, fidelity claims, and litigation support services.

He has been engaged across a wide range of industries, including financial services, healthcare and life sciences, technology and telecommunications, transportation and logistics, and hospitality and entertainment.

Andrew received his Master’s in Accounting from Fordham University. He also received his Bachelor’s in Economics with a Minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.

William Sasser

William is a Manager at MDD Forensic Accountants Denver office. He joined MDD in 2025, bringing with him an investigative foundation from his audit and tax experience in public accounting. This diverse background paved the way for his transition into forensic accounting, where he developed a deep understanding of the financial stories behind the numbers.

William specializes in the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, business valuation, business disputes & shareholder disputes, fraud and investigations, lost profits and divorce & marital disputes.

His work spans a diverse range of industries including hospitality and tourism, wholesale, construction, manufacturing & transportation.

He graduated from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Economics.

Deborah Temkin

Deborah joined MDD Forensic Accountants Chicago office in 2025. She is a Managing Director- with focus on Disputes and Litigation.

Deborah spent most of her career at a Big 4 firm, working in the forensic accounting and litigation dispute areas in Chicago and in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Prior to joining MDD, she was a Managing Member and Co-Founder of a forensic accounting firm that specialized in expert witness testimony, litigation support & investigative services. With almost 30 years of consulting and accounting experience, she has experience working internationally, across cultures, languages, and time zones to consult with law firms, in-house counsel, C-Suite executives, senior corporate management, and corporations of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies.

Deborah focuses on the quantification of economic damages related to fraud and investigations, anti-corruption, ethics and compliance, bankruptcy, and marital disputes.

She has provided expert witness testimony in U.S. federal court and has worked across diverse industries including manufacturing, construction, higher education, retail, life sciences, professional services, and automotive.

A recognized thought leader, Deborah has delivered numerous seminars and workshops on marital disputes, e-discovery and investigations/fraud awareness. Her published work includes the article “Benchmarking Your Whistleblower Hotline” in the Business Crimes Bulletin and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics Journal.

Deborah holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand, an Honors degree in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, and a Master’s in management international (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Phoenix. She is fluent in English, proficient in Afrikaans, and conversational in Dutch.

Bryan Lin

Bryan joined MDD Forensic Accountants Dallas office as an intern in 2006. In 2025, he became Manager.

His expertise includes the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, lost profits, physical damages, liability losses, builders’ risk and soft costs, and stock and content losses.

In addition, he has been engaged in the area of catastrophe services, quantifying losses that occurred as a result of natural disasters such as Hurricane Harvey and The North Texas Freeze / Winter Storm Viola.

He has worked across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, retail, manufacturing, hospitality and tourism, food services and construction.

Bryan graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Management.

Paul Croft

Paul joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2025 and currently serves as Managing Director for Disputes and Litigation, based in the firm’s Sydney office.

Paul is a Chartered Accountant and forensic accounting expert specialising in dispute and litigation support services (including independent and consulting expert witness and expert determination).

He is accredited by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) as a specialist in forensic accounting and accredited by the Resolution Institute of Australia as an expert determiner.

With over 15 years dedicated forensic accounting and investigative experience, Paul advises parties involved in the areas of Business Interruption, Commercial Disputes, Fraud and Investigations, Fidelity Claims, Personal Injury & Wrongful Death, Post-Acquisition Disputes and Lost Profits. Paul draws on his deep experience in accounting, finance, financial modelling and business strategy to deliver precise, practical and reliable expert advice, tailored to the specifics of each matter.

A highly respect specialist, Paul has advised clients in high-profile and contentious litigation matters in Australia across a range of industries. He has prepared litigation reports for, and has appeared as expert witness in, the District Court of New South Wales, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Victoria. Paul presents seminars and workshops to industry professionals on a wide range of topics, including demystifying financial statements, quantifying economic loss, business interruption losses with intervening events (COVID-19), avoiding costly shareholder disputes and alternative approaches for resolving financial disputes.

Amy Zachofsky

Amy joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2006. She is a manager at the firm’s Miami office.

Amy specializes in the quantification of economic damages across a broad spectrum of areas, including business interruption, builders risk & soft costs, cyber risks, lost profits, physical damages, and stock and content losses.

She has extensive experience in catastrophe services, having played a key role in assignments stemming from major events such as Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne, Katrina, Wilma, Harvey, Irma, Florence, Michael, Dorian, Ida, Ian, Helene, and Milton, as well as losses from the Hawaii Wildfires, COVID-19, Texas freeze of 2021, and the CDK Global Cyber Attack.

Amy provides litigation support that includes preparing damages calculations, compiling documents related to discovery demands, assisting with trial preparation, and formulating deposition & EUO queries.

Her work spans a diverse range of industries, including automotive, construction, food services, government, healthcare, retail, and hospitality and tourism.

She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Craig Mann

Craig joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2025. He is a Senior Manager at the firm’s Philadelphia office. Prior to MDD, he worked at a large national accounting firm where he specialized in the construction sector, conducting project audits, managing fraud investigations, and overseeing financial project controls. Notably, Craig led a high-profile FBI case that uncovered over one million dollars in theft and resulted in criminal convictions.

Craig’s expertise includes the quantification of economic damages related to surety bond matters, fraud and investigations, business valuation, employee dishonesty, and builders’ risk and soft costs.

His extensive experience spans various industries, including construction, government, and healthcare, enabling him to navigate complex regulatory environments and deliver tailored forensic solutions across diverse sectors.

A recognized thought leader in his field, Craig has presented webinars for the National Association of Construction Auditors (NACA), offering insights into construction audit, fraud detection, and risk mitigation. His contributions have also been published by NACA, reflecting his commitment to advancing best practices and professional standards within the forensic accounting community.

Craig is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from California State University and a Master of Accounting from Rider University.

Rohan Sood

Rohan joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2025. He is a Manager at the firm’s New York office.

Prior to joining MDD, Rohan gained experience as a manager in forensic accounting at a global firm, where he specialized in the management of complex liability matters, including the development of exposure models and other decision-making tools. This includes matters involving asbestos, hazardous waste, sexual abuse and molestation, opioids, concussive injuries, PFAS/AFFF (business interruption and property damage), lead, benzene, diacetyl, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.

Rohan focuses on the quantification of economic damages for matters related to liability losses, product liability & product recall, lost profits, insurance defense, contingent bi & extra expense, business interruption, environmental damages and toxic tort and quantitative & analytics practice.

He has been engaged across a wide range of industries, including food services, oil & gas, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, professional services & automotive.

Rohan has provided litigation support to clients and assisted in the preparation for expert witness testimony. He has also presented seminars and CLE training related to liability and building exposure models/decision trees.

Rohan graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in accounting and a minor in management information systems.

Justin Grant

Justin is a Senior Manager/Vice President at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Calgary office. With a decade of experience, he specializes in business valuation and litigation support, providing services for tax and financial reporting compliance, business & shareholder disagreements, insurance defence cases, and other commercial disputes.

Justin has provided business valuation and litigation support services across a wide range of industries, including energy and renewables, oil & gas, agriculture, aviation, and specialized healthcare service organizations.

Justin earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and holds both the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designations.

Edward Steele, Sr.

Edward joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ New York office in 2025. He is a Senior Manager/Technical Advisor in our global cyber practice. With extensive experience in incident response and vendor management, Edward excels in navigating complex cyber threats, including ransomware negotiations, recovery, digital forensics, and crypto investigations.

He provides critical support to insurance carriers by reviewing restoration expenses and advising on technical aspects of cyber claims. Beyond his deep technical acumen, Edward brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic partnerships, sales, and business development across various tech industries.

Edward brings a new service offering to MDD, enabling us to provide enhanced technical support specifically tailored for our carrier clients.

Matt Peterson

Matt joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Chicago office in 2013. He is a Manager at the firm.

Matt has worked on assignments across most of our practice areas, concentrating on business interruption, lost profits, contingent BI and extra expenses, physical damages, product liability & product recall, and cyber risks.

His industry experience includes railroads, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, hospitality and tourism.

Matt received his Bachelor’s in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and his Master of Accounting Science (Financial Reporting & Assurance) from Northern Illinois University.

Karen Le

Karen joined MDD Forensic Accountants as an intern in 2007. She is a Manager at the firm’s Dallas office.

Karen specializes in the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, contingent BI & extra expenses, physical damages, and stock and content losses.

She also has significant experience in catastrophe services, having worked on assignments resulting from hurricanes Ike, Sandy, Harvey, Irma, and winter storm Uri.

Karen has worked across various industries, including construction, food services, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing and retail.

She is fluent in Vietnamese. Karen graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Management.

Anne Marie Tucker

Anne Marie joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Toronto office in 2025 as a Senior Manager/Vice President. For over two decades, she has focused exclusively on providing forensic accounting and damage quantification services to businesses varying in both size and industry. Her previous roles included managerial positions at national and global accounting firms.

Anne Marie’s practice specializes in quantifying economic damages relating to business interruption, contingent business interruption & extra expense, cyber risks, and stock and content losses. She also has experience with lost profits, personal injury & wrongful death, and income replacement benefits (Canada).

Her industry experience includes food services, hospitality and tourism, retail, professional services, automotive, health, and agriculture. She has also been active in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages that occurred as a result of the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires and the 2020 Australian bushfires.

She has conducted numerous seminars and workshops on various topics, including Business Interruption for Equipment Breakdown policies, Business Interruption for Cyber policies, Introduction to Business Interruption, and Introduction to Income Replacement Benefits Calculations.

Anne Marie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario (now Western University). She also holds her Chartered Professional Accountant designation and is certified in financial forensics. Anne Marie is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Ben Lovell

Ben joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2025 and currently serves as the Director of Business Development for the Asia Pacific region, operating from the firm’s Singapore office.

In his role, Ben is instrumental in driving all aspects of business development across APAC, with a dedicated focus on MDD’s strategic growth and expansion across the region.

Drawing on extensive experience across a diverse client base, Ben collaborates effectively with the team in Singapore and around the globe. Prior to his tenure at MDD, Ben spent over ten years as the Global Business Development Manager at The Legal 500, a leading legal publishing house, where he successfully cultivated relationships with top law firms worldwide.

An experienced speaker, Ben has moderated numerous seminars and panel discussions throughout the region, addressing critical themes such as managing international disputes, conducting cross-border investigations, and navigating crisis management.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Studies from the University of Staffordshire.

Inna Tahmasian

Inna joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2011. She is a Manager at the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Inna specializes in the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, cyber risks, lost profits, stock and content losses, builders’ risk & soft costs, and product liability & product recall.

She has worked across a wide range of industries, including construction, hospitality and tourism, retail, wholesale, food services, manufacturing, and power generation.

Inna is fluent in Russian and English and is also proficient in Ukrainian.

She graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Ali Famularo

Ali joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2024. She is a Senior Manager at the firm’s New York office.

Ali started her career in 2016 and gained vast experience from both the claim prep and insurance side with a focus on cyber risks.

Her expertise includes the quantification of economic damages related to cyber risks, business interruption, and contingent business interruption & extra expense.

She has worked across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, financial services, professional services, automotive, manufacturing, construction, and retail.

Ali graduated from Binghamton University with both a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting.

Pascal Labrosse

Pascal started as a Senior Accountant at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Montreal office in 2019. He is currently a Senior Manager / Vice President at the firm.

Pascal has been involved in multiple investigations involving the quantification of economic damages in insurance and litigation matters and has strong forensic accounting experience in the area of personal injury.

Pascal’s practice specializes in the area of business valuation, economic loss quantification and investigative accounting.

Pascal has prepared economic loss quantification reports involving intellectual property infringement, breach of contract, construction delay and physical damages.  Pascal has worked on numerous assignments related to business interruptioncyber risksextra expenses/increased costsfraud & investigationslitigation support, and lost profits.

His industry experience includes agriculture, automotive, food services, financial services,  manufacturing and assembly, commercial rental properties, hotels and resorts, restaurants, retail and wholesale, and professional services. He has also been active in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages that occurred due to Hurricanes lota and Eta.

Pascal has presented various seminars on lost profit, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on businesses, cyber losses and documentation available in the context of litigation.

Pascal is fluent in French and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration and Diploma of Higher Specialized Studies, Accounting, both from HEC Montreal. He holds the professional designations of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV). He is also an Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator and Small Claims Mediator – Income Taxes.

Harriet Bateman

Harriet joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ New York office as a Partner in 2024. She was previously a Director in forensic accounting at a global firm, where she specialized in cyber insurance.

Harriet has over a decade of experience in forensic accounting; her practice focuses on quantifying economic damages in matters related to cyber risk, supporting clients throughout the claims process, and during any subsequent litigation. Harriet also has extensive experience in property, advanced loss of profits/delay in start-up, professional liability, contingent BI & extra expenses, commercial disputes, and fidelity claims.

Harriet’s experience spans a wide variety of industries, including professional services, manufacturing, retail, technology, healthcare, government, hospitality, and tourism. Fluent in Spanish, she supports clients in both the USA and LatAM.

Harriet has presented numerous seminars, including cyber insurance training and workshops for claims professionals, underwriters, and actuaries. She has also presented at market conferences and has been a contributor to Business Insurance magazine.

Harriet graduated from the University of Birmingham (UK) and holds her ACA designation.

Brendan Gray

Brendan joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ New York office as a Partner in 2024.

Brendan has over 10 years of forensic accounting experience and has worked on claims valued as high as a billion dollars. He has worked on countless insurance claims and legal disputes related to product recall, CGL, and mass-tort matters. While focusing on traditional claims analysis, including business interruption, Brendan also specializes in the development of analytical models and other decision-making tools to assist clients in managing complex claims and data. This includes matters involving Asbestos, Hazardous Waste, Sexual Abuse, and Molestation, Opioids, Concussive Injuries, PFAS/AFFF (BI and PD), Lead, Benzene, Diacetyl, Medical Devices, and Pharmaceuticals.

In addition to the above, Brendan’s practice also encompasses commercial disputes, employee dishonesty & fraud, fidelity claims, and marine claims. He also has experience across a wide variety of industries, including food services, automotive, financial services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, maritime, and professional services. Brendan has provided litigation support to clients, assisted in the preparation for expert witness testimony, and has qualified as an expert witness. He has also attended and assisted in depositions of opposing experts as well as mediations.

He has presented numerous seminars and CLE trainings in both the legal and insurance sectors on PFAS, Fidelity, Product Recall, and complex claims. This includes the management of data and the use of analytical modeling in complex matters.

Brendan graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration with an Accounting focus. He also holds his Certified Public Accountant designation.

David Cobb

David joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2024 as a Senior Manager in our Minneapolis office. Prior to joining MDD, he was a principal and economist at an accounting and professional services firm for 17 years.

David has significant litigation support experience and has assisted in the representation of plaintiffs and defendants in hundreds of disputed matters, including through estimation and evaluation of lost profits, business valuation, business disputes & shareholder disputes, divorce & marital disputes, and intellectual properties. This assistance has included testimony in state court and arbitration.

He has worked across a wide range of industries, including construction, real estate, manufacturing, agriculture, hospitality, medical devices, financial services, professional services, retail, and IT.

David has extensive catastrophe experience related to the California drought of 2007 – 2009.

He is proficient in German and has presented on topics related to financial analysis and business valuation.

David graduated cum laude from Cornell College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business, and a minor in Physics. David has a Certificate of Accounting from the University of Minnesota.

Jo Suppiah

Jo joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2001. In 2007, she left to work in the insurance sector, where she gained valuable knowledge of the adjustment process from an insurance perspective. She returned to MDD in 2024 and is now a Director at the firm’s London office.

Jo’s expertise includes the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, contingent business interruption, fraud and investigations, lost profits, product liability, stock and content losses, and pre-loss business interruption/policy review and quantification.

She has been involved in numerous cases in a litigation support role, including mediation & arbitration hearings. She has also prepared expert witness reports for insurance disputes.

Jo has handled cases ranging from £20mn to £100mn and has worked on assignments across the United Kingdom, Europe, the Caribbean, and South America.

Jo has significant experience in catastrophe services, having worked on files related to hurricanes Ivan, Joaquin, Matthew, and the Buncefield explosion.

She has extensive exposure to several industries, including automotive, aviation, food services, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing, IT, healthcare, power generation, oil and gas, pulp and paper, railroads, warehousing, and retail.

Jo has written various articles and presented at LBIA, Airmic, the International Underwriting Association, Claims Club, and various market events. She is the Co-Chair of the Insurance Institute of London Claims Committee and was a finalist for Women in Insurance Claims Professional of the Year in 2020 and runner-up for the Rising Star Award in 2010, awarded by Post Claims Club. Jo graduated from Kingston University with a Masters in Accounting and Finance and is fluent in Tamil and Sinhalese.

Joseph Piscitelli

Joe joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2009. He is a Manager at the firm’s Parsippany office.

Joe specializes in the quantification of economic damages for matters related to business interruption, builder’s risk & soft costs, contingency claims & entertainment claims, cyber risks, physical damages, stock and content losses, and contingent BI & extra expenses.

He has vast experience in catastrophe services, having worked on assignments resulting from Hurricanes Sandy, Irma, Irene, and the Texas Freeze.

Joe has been engaged on assignments across various industries, including agriculture, construction, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing, transportation, and retail.

He graduated from Monmouth University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Information Technology.

Jenna Colarusso

Jenna joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2021 as a Senior Accountant. She is currently a Manager at the firm’s Toronto office.

Jenna’s practice specializes in quantifying economic damages relating to business interruption, stock & content losses, accident benefits and cyber losses.

She has handled assignments across various industries, including food services, retail, cannabis, agriculture, hospitality, and manufacturing.

Jenna graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Arts and received a Diploma in Accounting from McMaster University.

John Goldwater

John joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2024. He is the Managing Director of our new global Quantitative and Analytics practice.  He brings nearly 25 years of experience supporting insurers, counsel, and others in handling and resolving claims related to long-tail toxic tort and other complex claims matters.  John has a deep understanding of the issues most important to his clients and is able to anticipate their needs in helping them determine exposure and settlement alternatives.  He has extensive experience building ground-up data sets and developing multi-scenario, dynamic models from this data.  In addition, John provides due diligence through claim audits and reconciliation exercises.

Decision making tools, long-tail claim allocations, large data sets, and high-profile reporting solutions developed by John and his team are regularly relied upon by clients in claim matters involving Asbestos, Hazardous Waste, Sexual Abuse, and Molestation, Opioids, Concussive Injuries, PFAS/AFFF (BI and PD), Construction Defect, Lead, Benzene, Diacetyl, Medical Devices, Trademark/Trade Dress disputes, Pharmaceuticals, as well as many other types of cases.

John has been retained as an expert witness and testified through deposition or trial on numerous occasions.

He received his Master of Business Administration from the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University. He also earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the College of Arts & Sciences at Willamette.

Laura Lagana

Laura joined MDD’s London office in 2024 and is a Manager at the firm.

With over 10 years of experience within the accounting field, her professional practice concentrates primarily on issues related to business interruption, contingent BI & extra expenses, cyber risks, fidelity claims, stock and content losses. She also has catastrophe services experience, having worked on losses arising from COVID-19.

Laura has experience across a broad spectrum of industries including retail, manufacturing, hospitality & tourism, power generation, professional services and IT.

Laura is the Deputy Education Secretary of the London Business Interruption Association (LBIA) and regularly presents the LBIA’s popular online and in-person training session.

She graduated from The University of London in 2003 with a MSc in Computer Science.

Laura is a native German and is fluent in French and Italian.

Juan Manuel Holgado

Juan Manuel Holgado began his career as a forensic accountant in 2016 and is now a Senior Manager at MDD’s Latin American office. He has worked on engagements across North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Juan is a forensic accountant with vast experience in the economic damage quantification of business interruption, contingent business interruption and extra expenses, advance loss of profits/delay in start-up, builders’ risk & soft costs, fraud and investigations, and stock and contents.

He has considerable catastrophe services experience, having worked on assignments resulting from hurricanes Irma, Maria, Eta, Iota, and Otis.

His industry experience includes, but is not limited to, power generation, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, mining, hospitality & tourism, and retail.

He has presented seminars and workshops on business interruption and advance loss of profits/delay in start-up-related topics to various clients across Latin America.

Juan is fluent in Spanish and English. He graduated from Florida International University (FIU) with a Bachelor of Business in Finance and Real Estate. He also received his Master of Science in Finance and Master of Accounting from FIU.

Stephanie Ceus

Stephanie joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2023. She is a Manager at the firm’s Houston office.

Stephanie began her career as a forensic accountant in 2012. She specializes in quantifying economic damages for matters related to business interruption, contingent business interruption and extra expenses, employee dishonesty & fraud, fidelity claims, fraud & investigations, and commercial disputes.

She has been engaged across various industries, including oil & gas, hospitality & tourism, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, railroads, and pharmaceuticals.

Stephanie has vast experience in catastrophe services, having worked on assignments resulting from the Tohoku Earthquake (Japan), Thailand Floods, Super Storm Sandy, Hurricane Harvey, COVID-19, Hurricane Zeta, Winter Storm Uri, and 2021 Hurricane Ida.

She is fluent in both English & Spanish.

Stephanie graduated from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Yiyan Lin

Yiyan joined MDD’s Singapore office in 2014. He is now a Manager and works out of the firm’s London office.

Since joining MDD, Yiyan has worked across a variety of practice areas including advance loss of profits/delay in start-up, business interruption, contingent BI and extra expenses, stock and contents, cyber, personal injury & wrongful death cases. His recent assignments have involved the energy, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation and retail sectors.

He graduated from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) with a degree in Accountancy and Business and is fluent in Mandarin.

Aaron Isch

Aaron joined MDD Forensic Accountants Boston office in 2014. He is a manager at the firm.

Aaron has worked on assignments across most of our practice areas concentrating on business interruption, cyber risks, business disputes & shareholder disputes, business valuation, personal injury & wrongful death, lost profits, and post-acquisition disputes. He is also actively involved in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages resulting from natural disasters, including hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria & Ida, California Wildfires, and the 2021 freeze in Texas.

His industry experience includes financial services, food services, healthcare, hospitality & tourism, manufacturing, professional services, and retail.

Aaron provides litigation support services to clients and has given expert witness testimony at depositions.

He has presented seminars on business interruption and liability losses.

Aaron recently completed a six-month secondment as a Claims Manager within Beazley’s Cyber and Technology group.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Master of Business Administration from Salve Regina University.

Matt Fujii

Matt joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2018 as a Co-op Student. He is currently a Manager at the firm’s Vancouver office.

Matt’s practice area expertise includes business interruption, contingent business interruption & extra expense, builders risk & soft costs, advance loss of profits/delay in start-up, stock and content losses, and personal injury & wrongful death. He has also been active in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages due to the 2021 British Columbia floods.

He has handled assignments across various industries, including food services, construction, professional services, retail, manufacturing, wholesale, and agriculture.

Matt graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He also holds his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Meg O’Brien

Meg joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ New York office in 2018. She is a Manager at the firm.

Meg has worked on assignments across most of our practice areas concentrating on business interruption, builders’ risk and soft costs claims, contingency claims & entertainment claims, cyber risks, contingent BI & extra expense, product liability & product recall and stock and content losses. She is also actively involved in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages resulting from Covid-19 and natural disasters, including hurricanes Irma, Maria & Ida, California Wildfires, Tennessee tornados, and the 2021 freeze in Texas.

Her industry experience includes hospitality and tourism, construction, sports, entertainment & the arts, professional services, pharmaceuticals, power generation, and manufacturing, specializing in complex integrated processes, architectural float glass, and niche manufacturing markets.

Meg has assisted with discovery demands, mediation, deposition, & trial preparation.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Master of Business Administration in Public Accounting from SUNY Oswego.

Danielle Toca-Smith

Danielle started as a Co-op student at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Montreal office in 2017. Upon graduation, she joined MDD full-time and is currently a Manager at the firm.

Danielle’s practice specializes in quantifying economic damages related to cyber risks, contingency & entertainment claims, subrogation, stock & content losses, product liability & product recall, lost profits, liability losses, extra expenses/increased costs, and business interruption.

Her industry experience includes automotive, retail, professional services, sports, entertainment & the arts, manufacturing, food services, hospitality & tourism, and wholesale. She has also been active in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages that occurred due to the 2021 British Columbia wildfires and the 2021 British Columbia floods.

Danielle is fluent in French and completed her Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in accounting and economics from Concordia University. She also holds her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Bryce Livingston

Bryce joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2019 as a Senior Accountant. He is currently a Manager at the firm’s Calgary office.

Bryce’s practice area expertise includes business valuations, litigation support, business disputes & shareholder disputes, divorce & marital disputes, business interruption, stock & contents losses, lost profits and surety bond & fund control services. He has also been active in the catastrophe services area, quantifying economic damages that occurred as a result of the 2020 Fort McMurray wildfires.

He has handled assignments across various industries, including financial services, retail, hospitality & tourism, wholesale, manufacturing, professional services, construction, and food services.

Bryce graduated from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting Major. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator.

John Otting

John joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2004. In 2014, John left to become CFO of a privately-owned full-service marketing firm. He returned to MDD in 2023 as a Senior Manager at the firm’s Atlanta office.

A seasoned forensic accounting professional, John has worked on assignments involving business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, financial condition, lost profits and breach of contract, fraud and embezzlement, and inventory/physical damage claims. He also has significant experience in the catastrophe services area, having worked on files related to Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy.

He has been engaged across various industries, including pulp and paper, hospitality, chemical, hospitals & physicians’ offices, textile, retail, agriculture, lumber & manufacturing.

John has been involved in numerous cases in a litigation support role, including analysis of transcripts, preparation of inquiries of witnesses under oath and expert testimony, preparation of expert reports, and assistance with all aspects of discovery, including preparation of document responses and propounding document requests.

He received his Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting Major from the University of West Georgia..

James Deddens

James joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2022. He is a Manager at the firm’s Chicago office.

James started his career in 2006 and brings broad-based international consulting experience and forensic accounting expertise to MDD.

He specializes in the quantification of economic damages for matters related to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, fidelity claims and fraud investigations, product liability & product recall, reported insurance values, subcontractor defaults (SDI), builders risk & soft cost claims, and cyber risk. James also has significant experience in the catastrophe services area, most notably having worked on projects related to Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and the Iowa derecho.

He has been engaged across various industries, including construction, financial services, food services, healthcare, hospitality & tourism, manufacturing & retail.

James received his Master of Accounting Science and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Francis Gagne

Francis is a Senior Manager/Vice President at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Montreal office. He first joined the firm’s Vancouver office in 2007 as a Staff Accountant.

With over 15 years of forensic accounting experience, Francis’ expertise includes economic damage quantification for matters related to business income losses, stock and content losses, product liability and recall, commercial disputes, and catastrophe services.

He has worked on assignments across Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia. He has been involved in engagements that span various industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, retail, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and construction.

Francis has qualified as an expert witness and has provided testimony in the Superior Court of Quebec.

He is proficient in English and French and has conducted numerous seminars and workshops on the quantification of insurance losses in Quebec.

Francis graduated from Bishop’s University, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting & Finance. He also holds a Chartered Professional Accountant Designation and is Certified in Financial Forensics.

Daniel Brown

Daniel joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2022 and leads the firm’s engagement with Lloyd’s and London Market clients from MDD’s London office. With more than 20 years of experience in the London insurance market, he brings a wealth of industry insight and strategic relationship expertise.

As a trusted liaison between clients and MDD’s global forensic accounting team, Daniel ensures client needs are deeply understood and proactively addressed. He plays a pivotal role in facilitating updates, forging connections, and supporting new engagement across the firm’s Core Practice Areas — all with a focus on precision, responsiveness, and collaboration.

His extensive market knowledge and global perspective make him a key partner for clients seeking clarity, confidence, and results in complex claims and loss scenarios.

Marnie Silver

Marnie is a Director at MDD Forensic Accountants’ Toronto office. Previously she was a Vice President at a business valuation firm in Toronto and led the valuation practice at a mid-size firm for over a decade.

With over 20 years of experience in forensic accounting and business valuation, her expertise includes litigation accounting and quantification of damages concerning breach of contract, business interruption, expropriation, shareholder oppression and family law.

Marnie’s key practice areas involve the preparation of business valuations for shareholder disputes, estate planning, shareholder oppression, and family law matters. Her family law experience also includes determining income for child and spousal support purposes. In addition, Marnie also performs critical analysis and commentary of reports prepared by other experts.

Marnie has worked on a broad range of engagements across Canada, spanning various industries, including manufacturing, software and technology development, communication and media, pharmaceutical, automobile, retail, professional practices, and service firms.

She has been qualified as an expert witness and has provided testimony in the Ontario Superior court at trial and mediation proceedings. She has prepared or assisted in the preparation of numerous expert reports.

Marnie has conducted numerous seminars and workshops on the subject of business valuations.

She graduated from the University of Western Ontario, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has a Masters of Business Administration from York University. Marnie also holds a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Business Valuator, and Accredited Business Valuator Designations and is Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Melissa Smith

Melissa joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Atlanta office in 2001 as a Senior Accountant. She is now a Manager at the firm.

Melissa’s expertise includes the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, extra expense/increased costs, fidelity claims, fraud & investigations, liability losses, lost profits, product liability & product recall, and stock & contents losses.

She has handled hundreds of assignments in the area of catastrophe services resulting from tropical storms and hurricanes in the Caribbean and the East and Gulf Coasts of the U.S., as well as claims involving tornadoes and floods.

Melissa routinely provides litigation support services to clients and has been deposed on several occasions.

She has worked on assignments in the automotive, food services, hospitality & tourism, professional services, retail, real estate, sports, entertainment & the arts, and healthcare industries.

Melissa graduated from Kennesaw State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

Ken Standish

Ken joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Chicago office in 2006 as a Staff Accountant. He is now a Senior Manager at the firm.

Ken specializes in the areas of business interruption, stock & contents, cyber risk, extra expense/increased costs, subrogation, fidelity claims, lost profits, litigation support, and physical damages. He has also worked on several large product recall/ product liability matters.

Ken has significant experience in catastrophe services, working on assignments resulting from hurricanes, earthquakes, and floods.

He has worked across various industries, including automotive, retail, manufacturing, hospitality & tourism, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and agriculture.

Ken earned his Bachelor of Science in accountancy from Illinois State University. He also holds the professional designation of Certified Professional Accountant (CPA).

Trent Kral

Trent joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2006. He is a Manager at the firm’s Minneapolis office.

His expertise includes the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, extra expense/increased costs, lost profits, fraud & investigations, liability losses, stock & contents, and fidelity claims.

Trent has significant experience in industries related to retail and wholesale, food services, manufacturing, hospitality & tourism, rental properties, and several others.

He has been involved in a wide range of catastrophe losses related to Hurricanes Katrina, Irma and Harvey, Super Storm Sandy, Iowa floods, Joplin tornado, Derecho in Iowa, and many others.

Trent has assisted in mediations and appraisals.

He has also assisted in seminars & workshops related to lost profits, business interruption, and extra expense.

Trent graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, with his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Evelin Alchammas

Evelin joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2021. She is a Senior Manager at the firm’s Detroit office.

Evelin specializes in the quantification of economic damages related to business interruption, extra expenses/increased costs, and disability insurance claims.

Her industry expertise includes automotive, manufacturing, retail, professional services, and food services.

Before joining MDD, Evelin was an Assurance Manager at one of the Big Four accounting firms.

She received her Master of Accounting from Oakland University and Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Accounting and Reporting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Eric Johnson

Eric joined MDD Forensic Accountants in 2021. He is a Manager at the firm’s Dallas office.

Eric is a highly trained forensic accounting professional with over ten years of experience in business interruption, fraud & investigations, lost profits and litigation support.

His industry expertise includes financial services, retail, hospitality, food services, manufacturing, and automotive. In addition, Eric has extensive experience in the catastrophe services area, having worked on losses resulting from the Japan earthquakes, Thailand tsunami, hurricanes Matthew, Harvey, Irma, and Maria, and the Texas severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding.

He received his Master of Science in Accounting degree from Texas A&M University and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Abilene Christian University.

Jonathan Hiland

Jonathan joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Parsippany office in 2012. He is a Senior Manager at the firm.

Jonathan has worked on assignments across most of our practice areas concentrating on business interruption, extra expenses/increased cost, personal injury, stock and contents loss, and builders risk and soft costs. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
